RITA BENNETT
(Julie Benz) |  | Rita, Dexters girlfriend, is a mother of 2 kids - who both love dexter. Their father is an addict and a criminal, who repeatedly abused Rita. While this lead to her being completely sexually disinterested and untrusting, thats exactly what Dexter was looking for in a partner. |
DEBRA MORGAN
(Jennifer Carpenter) |  | Debra Morgan is Dexters sister. She also works with the Miami Police Department, as a homicide dectective. While Dexter is incapable of having feelings, he is certain that if he could have them, he would for Deb. |
SGT. DOAKES
(Erik King) |  | Sgt Doakes is one out of few people who senses that there is something wrong with Dexter. He makes this very clear by mkaing snyde comments about Dexter, as well as following him around after work.. |
LT. MARIA LAGUERTA
(Lauren Vélez) |  | LT. Maria Laguerta is the division boss and Resident Director. Apart from being Dexters boss, she often shows interest in him in a far more personal manner.. She does, however, not seem ot have quite as warm feelings for Deb. |
ANGEL BATISTA
(David Zayas) |  | A fellow homicide decetive, Batista works close to Dexter. While he does not share Dexters lust for killing, he definitely appreciates the art of murder. |
HARRY MORGAN
(James Remar) |  | Harry Morgan was a police officer with the Miami Police Derpartment, just like his daugther Deb and adopted son - Dexter. Even as a child, there was something odd about Dexter, and Harry noticed it. Rather than surpressing Dexters lusts and attempting to 'normalize' him, Harry taught him how to get away with murder, and instilled the Code of Harry. |
VINCENT MASUKA
(C.S. Lee) |  | Vince Masuka is an extroverted pervert who never misses an oppurtunity to say something inappropriate. He is a sexual harrassment suit waiting to happen, but eminately loveable at the same time. Masuka works for the Miami Metro Police Department as a forensics technician. He was assigned the position of LFI (Lead Forensics Investigator) making him the liason between the Feds investigating the Bay Harbour Butcher case and the Miami Metro task force. He provided the investigation with their first strong lead in the case, identifying algae on rocks used to weigh down the Butcher's victims. However, shortly after being assigned, his inappropriate comments and plodding nature wore thin on Special Agent Lundy, and although he has not been stripped of his title, he's become little more than an errand boy (mostly due to the lack of trace forensic evidence left by the BHB).
